Immigration to New Brunswick — Expert Guidance from Our Moncton Office

New Brunswick is one of Canada’s fastest-growing provinces for new immigrants. With a welcoming economy, lower cost of living than major urban centres, and dedicated immigration pathways through the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), NB offers real opportunity for skilled workers, international graduates, and families looking to build a life in Canada.

Next Arrival Immigration has a physical office in Moncton, New Brunswick. Our team of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) helps individuals and families navigate New Brunswick’s immigration pathways with personalised, professional support from start to finish.

Immigration Pathways to New Brunswick

New Brunswick offers several routes to permanent residence that are distinct from the rest of Canada. Below are the main pathways we help clients access.

New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP)

The NBPNP allows New Brunswick to nominate skilled workers, international graduates, and business people who have the intention to settle and work in the province. A provincial nomination adds 600 points to your Express Entry CRS score — effectively guaranteeing an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

NBPNP Streams we handle:
Express Entry Labour Market Stream for skilled workers in the Express Entry pool who have a job offer or previous NB work experience
Skilled Worker with Employer Support Stream for workers with a valid NB job offer in an eligible occupation
Skilled Worker without Employer Support Stream for workers in priority occupations who intend to settle in NB
International Graduate with Employer Support Stream for recent graduates of Canadian institutions with a valid NB job offer
Post-Graduate Entrepreneurial Stream For international graduates who want to start a business in NB

Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)

The Atlantic Immigration Program is a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates who want to work and live in Atlantic Canada — including New Brunswick. Unlike standard Express Entry, AIP requires a job offer from a designated employer in the region.

Who qualifies:

  • Skilled workers with a job offer from a designated NB employer
  • International graduates from an Atlantic Canadian institution with a job offer
  • Workers in intermediate or lower-skilled occupations with specific employer support

We help clients identify designated employers, prepare job offer documentation, and manage the full AIP application process.

Express Entry — Federal Programs

Even without a provincial nomination, many New Brunswick residents and applicants to Canada are eligible for federal Express Entry pathways:

Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) Points-based assessment for skilled workers abroad
Canadian Experience Class (CEC) For workers already in Canada with eligible skilled work experience
Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) For workers in eligible skilled trades

Our consultants assess your CRS score, identify profile-boosting opportunities, and manage your full Express Entry profile submission.

Family Sponsorship

If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in New Brunswick, you can sponsor eligible family members for permanent residence. Sponsored family members include:

  • Spouses and common-law partners
  • Dependent children
  • Parents and grandparents (through the Parents and Grandparents Program or Super Visa)

We handle both the sponsor’s and the applicant’s sides of the process.

Work Permits for New Brunswick

Temporary workers coming to New Brunswick may be eligible for:

Employer-specific work permits with or without an LMIA
LMIA-exempt work permits under international agreements (CUSMA/USMCA, intra-company transfers)
Open work permits for spouses of eligible workers or PR applicants

Many NB work permit holders transition to permanent residence through the NBPNP or AIP after meeting residency and work experience requirements.
